The Santa Key

The other day while cruising around Pintrest...(the greatest site for inspiration you will EVER find. If you don't already use it, you should start! as soon as you finish reading this post of course)...anyway the other day while I was looking for some last minute Holiday Ideas I came across this very cute key.


So simple and such a cute idea! Its a Santa Key, for the houses that don't have chimneys so that Santa can still get in to leave all the Good girls and boys presents. You can of course use any kind of key, write out or print off one of  the cute little sayings and be on your Merry way. If you're not the crafting type I hear you can buy the Santa Key's at Lawtons Drugs here in Halifax.

I found these sayings on The Idea Door, there are a few different ones you can choose from, here is the saying Ill be using on Charlee's Santa Key this year. 

Santa Key Saying

I borrowed an antique skeleton key from my mom she picked up at an antique store. You can use any key you have laying around....don't use the actual house key...you will be hanging it on the outside of your door. This year our elf, Henry, will be bringing the key to Charlee and leaving it for her to hang on the outside door so Santa can get it.

The Santa Key, Charlee was very excited to see that Henry brought her a little gift so Santa would be able to get in. I guess she was a good girl.
